Biography

François Croteau holds an MBA and a PhD in Urban Studies on urban governance from UQAM. He was elected in 2009 as mayor of the Montreal borough of Rosemont-La Petite Patrie, and was re-elected in 2013 and 2017. His tenure has been marked by innovative policies dealing with the ecological transition. He is member of Montreal city’s executive committee, in charge of smart city, ICT, innovation and higher education.
